We received this review on Amazon a few days ago and thought it was very cool.
It had occurred to us that The Moon Ring would serve as an excellent ice-breaker on a first date, but to hear an actual account of how that went down was pretty great.
We figured: If a girl opens it and leaves, she either has no sense of humor (in which case you're lucky she's gone), or you never had a shot with her. However if she laughs, you know she's cool...probably.
Incidentally, if you switch out the pronouns (her/him she/he) in the previous 2 sentences the concept holds up. The Moon Ring is just as fun and useful when given from a girl to a guy.
This thing is ridiculous. Obviously. That's why I ordered it. I used it to break the ice on a blind date and, wow, did it deliver. At first my date was completely freaked out, then she opened the box and it did its thing. We were in this beautiful, trendy restaurant. Everyone looked our way and I just pointed at her. She couldn't stop laughing. Neither could I. She immediately swore revenge so I'm expecting the worst on our next date. Really, this thing's a ton of fun. Next I'm going to give it to my mom for her birthday, I think. Please don't tell her...
